Forward Deployed Engineer Agentic AI Systems Abu Dhabi, UAE Full-time Built AI systems that real customers actually use? Want to own the next deployment from the first customer conversation through to production? I’m partnering with an enterprise AI company expanding its field engineering team in Abu Dhabi. They’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with their customers, solve complex business problems and build AI applications that become part of their everyday operations. You’ll combine hands-on engineering with strong business judgement, working directly with customers to understand how they operate, identify where AI can deliver value and turn those opportunities into production systems. You’ll wear multiple hats: leading discovery sessions, shaping the solution architecture, writing production code, managing delivery and helping users adopt what you’ve built. You should be comfortable discussing business priorities with senior stakeholders, then working through APIs, integrations and deployment issues with their engineering teams. We’re looking for someone commercially aware who can challenge a brief, prioritise the right use cases, manage scope and explain technical trade-offs in terms of business impact. You’ll own the outcome from the first conversation through to a reliable deployment that customers use. What you’ll do - Work directly with customers to identify valuable AI use cases and define delivery requirements. - Build and deploy AI agents, LLM applications and automated workflows. - Connect applications to customer APIs, databases and internal systems. - Own delivery from discovery and prototyping through deployment, monitoring and improvement. - Solve challenges around security, reliability, model quality, latency and cost. - Work closely with the product team to turn customer deployments into reusable platform capabilities. What you must bring - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and deploying AI/ML applications. - Hard requirement - Hands-on experience taking LLM or agentic AI application into production, with real users. You must be able to explain your contribution, the architecture, deployment decisions and outcomes. - Strong Python engineering skills, including backend services, APIs, testing and production troubleshooting. - Experience building RAG pipelines and/or agents that use tools, call APIs and execute multi-step workflows. - Experience integrating applications with enterprise systems, including authentication, data access and error handling. - Direct experience working with customers or business stakeholders: gathering requirements, explaining technical trade-offs and managing delivery expectations.
