Principal Rust Engineer (m/f/d)
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Rust Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of secure, scalable, and high-performance software platforms. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will define engineering standards, architect mission-critical systems, mentor engineers, and drive Rust adoption across large-scale distributed platforms. Requirements - 10+ years of software engineering experience - 4+ years building production systems in Rust - Proven experience as a Staff, Principal, or Lead Engineer - Expertise in distributed systems, backend engineering, and systems programming - Deep understanding of concurrency, asynchronous programming, networking, and performance optimization - Strong experience with software architecture, CI/CD, observability, security, and cloud-native platforms - Track record of delivering business-critical services at scale Key Responsibilities - Architect and develop production-grade Rust services and libraries - Lead technical decisions across multiple engineering teams - Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, standards, and best practices - Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and security - Mentor engineers and elevate overall Rust capability across the organization - Partner with Product, Architecture, Security, SRE, and Delivery teams to deliver scalable solutions Principal Rust Engineer in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
